Job Description:

Interlake Mecalux is hiring an Account Executive in Indianapolis, IN to join our racking sales team!

Working out of a home office, this role is responsible for the sale of racking storage solutions within the state of Indiana.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage customer relationships by continuously updating and training racking or material handling dealers, distributors, systems integrators, and end-users on our racking products and applications.
  • Visit dealers, distributors, and end users in territory in order to strengthen existing relationships, follow up on leads and quotes, and close business.
  • Conduct sales presentations, complete sales calls, manage sales order negotiations, and oversee the execution of sales orders
  • Utilize market research to develop sales opportunities which will assure market performance and penetration in support of business initiatives.​​​​​​​
  • Partner with customers to develop long term relationships, generate additional sales, and guide problem resolution discussions.
  • Develop monthly and weekly sales plans that include prospecting activities and forecasts.
  • Ensure completion of customer projects through the coordination of engineering, manufacturing, installation, and customer service activities.
  • Enter and update leads, quotes, and orders in the company's CRM software, CIM. Keep CIM updated daily.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering
  • At least one year of experience working in the Material Handling Industry.
  • At least one year of experience in Industrial Sales.
  • Strong technical aptitude.
  • Must live within one hour (driving) of Indianapolis, IN.
  • Must have an excellent driving record and own a car with auto liability coverage limits of $100,000 per person, $300,000 per accident in bodily injury liability, and $100,000 per accident in property damage liability.
  • Willingness for business travel locally in Indiana, visiting customers 2-4 days per week.
  • High degree of proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) ​​​​​​​
