Continuous Improvement Engineer

Job Description:

We are looking to hire a Continuous Improvement Engineer, to work out of our Pontiac IL facility!

Responsibilities:

  • Detect and ensure plant layout is suitable for an efficient manufacturing process
  • Mentor and subject matter expert for Continual Improvement projects
  • Utilize technical skills and operational experience to develop technical solutions for production problems that involve, methods, equipment, material replenishment, process controls, error-proofing, overall equipment effectiveness, and others.
  • Review, study, follow and implement plans and solutions to the production process while conferring with management.
  • Act as a liaison between plant leads, plant workers and management to accomplish the production objectives set forth by company vision.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers
  • Develop and implement solutions that improve the quality and efficiency of the various manufacturing processes in fabrication and assembly operations.
  • Analyze and plan manufacturing space, equipment, tooling, personnel and time requirements for the manufacture of current or new products.
  • Participate in the purchasing processes for industrial machines and equipment, following the annual CAPEX investment plan for new equipment.
  • Other duties as required

Minimum requirements:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or similar field of study
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering preferred
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, adaptability and leadership skills
  • Personality: Candidates must have integrity, be highly analytical, and have a strong desire to be deeply involved in the business. Candidates must be organized and methodical in their work, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt easily to change. Candidates must be able to preserve through difficult work challenges with the highest degree of dedication. Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to interact and communicate effectively with personnel from all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work both in the office and on the plant floor, in hot and cold conditions.
