Job Description:

We are hiring a WMS Project Manager to work out of our Atlanta office. This role is responsable for implementing EasyWMS for all Mecalux clients purchasing this product, whether for automated solutions (ASRS) or manual warehouses. As a WMS implementation Project Manager, you will be the ultimate responsible party for project success, managing an average of 5 simultaneous projects (depending on project size), primarily located in the USA and Canada, with occasional projects in Mexico and other countries in the American continent. 

Responsibilities:

  • Project Success: Ensure the project meets its goals, timeline, and budget.
  • Scope Management: Review and understand project scope, deadlines, and goals.
  • Scheduling and Resource Management:
    • Organize project information in SAP.
    • Create project schedules and budgets.
    • Communicate resource needs to team leaders.
    • Coordinate internal and client kick-off meetings, and manage on-site travel logistics.
    • Ensure all milestones are met as scheduled.
  • Design Review & Change Management:
    • Understand and oversee the design solution.
    • Manage any scope changes and coordinate with sales engineers and clients.
    • Ensure necessary warehouse KPIs and data are collected for future comparison and project success measurement.
  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain trust with clients.
    • Establish direct communication to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Project Monitoring:
    • Monitor the project status and ensure deadlines are met.
    • Weekly reporting of project status to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Travel Requirements:
    • ​​​​​​​Travel to client sites for workshops and project phases (approximately one week per site, except for small projects).
    • Ensure all requirements are met before arriving on-site and assist with the project’s successful go-live.
  • During Project Go-Live & Closure:

    • Go-Live Support:

      • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Lead the on-site team during the go-live phase (approximately 1-2 weeks before and after the WMS launch).
      • Ensure all objectives are being met for a smooth and successful go-live.
  • Monitor warehouse performance post-go-live to evaluate if the goals are being met. Project Handover:
    • Project Handover:
      • Ensure all deliverables are met and properly handed over to the aftersales team.
      • Manage project closure in SAP and all related platforms.

Minimum requirements:

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Continuous communication with clients and Mecalux stakeholders.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build strong relationships with both clients and internal teams.
  • Commitment to Work: Ability to meet clear objectives and deadlines with a focused attitude.
  • Eagerness to Learn: A proactive approach to personal and professional growth.
  • Ability to Retain Information: Capability to become independent with project tasks over time.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain Knowledge: Basic understanding of warehouse processes.
  • Agile Methodologies Knowledge. 
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work in multidisciplinary, methodical, and collaborative teams.
  • Fluent in English: Professional business-level fluency, both spoken and written.
  • Availability to Travel: Approximately 20% of the time.
