2nd Shift Tool Crib Attendant

Job Description:

This position is responsible for managing the tool crib inventory and maintaining the maintenance systems. It involves purchasing supplies and spare parts for equipment and supporting maintenance as needed.


  • Order material based on usage, min/max levels or cycle counts
  • Order special items as needed to support plant operations
  • Insure that the proper levels of storeroom inventory is available to support plant production
  • Maintain an accurate inventory in the store room and spare parts. Insure that the system inventory is updated and accurate.  Investigate discrepancies and adjust errors.
  • Enter purchased receipts into the system
  • Utilize maintenance software to enter or record maintenance activities
  • Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities
  • Keep records on the use or damage of stock
  • Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to management

Minimum requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficient computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn to use e-mail, SAP, MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills. 
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, loud, and dirty plant conditions required.  Ability to stand and walk during entire 8-hour shift required.  Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly required.
