Interlake Mecalux has launched a new proprietary voice recognition system available for Android devices. Developed in-house, this solution is natively integrated with Easy WMS’s voice picking capabilities. It enables companies to adopt this technology without relying on third-party software or additional licenses.

Voice picking or pick-by-voice is a solution that allows warehouse associates to fill outbound orders using both hands. Instructions are delivered through a headset, and pickers confirm tasks via microphone. This hands-free operation gives associates complete freedom to handle stock while receiving and confirming instructions on the move. As a result, it increases operational efficiency while significantly reducing order picking times.

Interlake Mecalux voice system natively integrated into Easy WMS

With the new voice recognition application Easy WMS issues instructions to associates through a headset and captures their verbal confirmations via microphone.

The system can read out alphanumeric information and interpret spoken numbers and predefined commands for specific tasks. It does not require voice training for associates and is currently available in English, Spanish, French, Polish, German, Italian, and Dutch.
