Easy WMS integration with Shopify
Direct WMS–Shopify integration for efficient order management
Real-time order and inventory synchronization
Interlake Mecalux introduces the integration of its Easy WMS warehouse management system with Shopify, designed to automatically synchronize item, order, and inventory data between the online store and the warehouse without relying on an ERP. This connection streamlines operations, eliminates errors caused by manual tasks, and ensures data consistency across both systems.
Shopify is one of the world’s leading e-commerce platforms, with more than 4.8 million active stores and 10% of the global market share. This new integration is part of Marketplace Integration, an advanced Easy WMS module that connects the system with the major marketplaces and e-commerce platforms on the market.
Key benefits of the Easy WMS–Shopify integration
- Time and cost savings by avoiding custom ERP–Shopify developments.
- Direct, automated communication between the sales channel and the warehouse for synchronizing orders, catalog, and inventory.
- Greater control and traceability of online orders.
- Faster implementation for clients using Shopify as their e-commerce platform.
Core capabilities of the Shopify integration
- Item creation and maintenance. In environments without an ERP, item creation is managed directly in Shopify, which acts as the primary data source for registering items in Easy WMS.
- Inventory updates. Easy WMS updates available inventory in Shopify in real time. When an order is received, Shopify reduces the available stock; when new inventory arrives at the warehouse, Easy WMS sends a stock adjustment to increase store availability.
- Order creation. Easy WMS automatically imports Shopify orders at configurable intervals, creating outbound orders with the appropriate status and making them ready for picking in the warehouse.
- Order status updates. Easy WMS synchronizes order progress with Shopify. When an outbound order enters picking, the system sends the “in progress” status to Shopify, notifying the seller that the order is being processed in the warehouse.
- Order cancellation. If an order is canceled in Shopify, Easy WMS’s behavior depends on the configured cancellation rules. If cancellation is allowed, Easy WMS cancels the corresponding outbound order; otherwise, Shopify receives the “cancellation rejected” status.
- Order completion. Once the outbound order is closed in the warehouse, Easy WMS notifies Shopify that processing is complete and the parcel has shipped.
