Interlake Mecalux is headed to MODEX 2026 to unveil its latest solutions in intralogistics technology. From April 13–16 at the Georgia World Congress Center, the multinational will showcase its next-generation autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), high-density automated shuttle systems, and the multiple capabilities of its Easy WMS warehouse management software suite.
A major highlight of the event will be the company’s ongoing collaboration with the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics (CTL). A keynote by Dr. Matthias Winkenbach, Director of Research at MIT CTL and head of the Mecalux-backed Intelligent Logistics Systems Lab, will explore the outcomes of this alliance.
Automated solutions for warehouses
Visitors to Booth B15539 (Building ABC, Level 1) can experience live demonstrations of automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RSs) designed to maximize throughput. Interlake Mecalux will highlight three core shuttle technologies, demonstrating the company’s expertise in this field:
- 3D Automated Pallet Shuttle: A high-density storage solution featuring an innovative multidirectional electric shuttle that moves through storage lanes and changes levels automatically.
- Shuttle System: Designed for boxes, bins, totes, and trays, this solution automatically feeds pick stations with goods needed for order fulfillment.
- Semi-automated Pallet Shuttle: The perfect bridge between manual and fully automated operations. Operators use a forklift to position the motorized shuttle for deep-lane pallet storage and retrieval.
The end-to-end intralogistics solutions provider will also display one of its autonomous mobile robots at MODEX 2026, the AMR 1500 Pallet Conveyor. Capable of transporting palletized loads of up to 3,300 lb, this robot plots its routes via a virtual warehouse map, completing assigned tasks with the utmost efficiency. Advanced sensors, LiDAR scanners, and navigation software enable it to identify and avoid obstacles in complex environments.
In line with its commitment to innovation, Interlake Mecalux will join a panel of industry leaders to discuss the latest trends and applications in intralogistics automation. The roundtable discussion will be held on Monday, April 13, from 12:00–12:45 p.m. in Theater C.
Innovation through collaboration
Innovation is a strategic priority for Interlake Mecalux, which engages in international research projects to drive the next generation of logistics. At MODEX 2026, attendees can learn firsthand about the company’s initiatives, including its two-year collaboration with MIT CTL, a global leader in supply chain research.
Interlake Mecalux will participate in a session led by Dr. Matthias Winkenbach (MIT CTL) on Tuesday, April 14, from 3:30–4:15 p.m. in Theater A. It will cover key advances from the first year of the collaboration and explore how AI and machine learning are reshaping warehouse automation. Topics include AMR fleet navigation and coordination, real-time orchestration of automated systems, and the use of digital twins to simulate and optimize operational decisions.
Digitalization drives the supply chain
At MODEX 2026, Interlake Mecalux will demonstrate how its logistics software can boost operational efficiency for companies. Easy WMS simplifies and optimizes the management of all types of warehouses, from manual facilities to fully automated distribution centers. This versatile solution features multi-owner and multi-location capabilities, an intuitive and user-friendly interface, and cloud or on-premises deployment.
Continuously updated through R&D, Easy WMS anticipates market changes and adapts to help organizations meet future challenges. At Booth B15539, Interlake Mecalux will demonstrate Easy AI, which integrates generative artificial intelligence into Easy WMS. Users can interact with the software via a chat interface that interprets complex queries and provides human-like responses, streamlining decision-making processes.
We look forward to connecting with you at MODEX 2026!
