The winemaking company Gil Family Estates is building a new 1.24 acre warehouse in Jumilla (Murcia, Spain) where it will organize close to 500 different SKUs. Once it is commissioned, the company will implement the Easy WMS warehouse management software from Interlake Mecalux.
The warehouse will comprise four blocks of racks with the semi-automatic Pallet Shuttle system. The goods will be managed as per the FIFO principle (first in, first out). In other words, the first pallet in will be the first to leave. Mecalux will also install 39' high selective pallet racks.
Easy WMS Enterprise (the most robust, advanced version of the software) will be set up here to manage all operations. This WMS will provide the business with many advantages: increased productivity, decreased number of operations, real-time stock control and order prep, better delivery times to customers and cost reductions.
