DIELCA, a leading electrical equipment distributor in the Canary Islands, is modernizing its facility in the El Sebadal industrial complex (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria). To support this initiative, the company will implement Mecalux’s Easy WMS warehouse management system. This digital transformation initiative aims to improve inventory control, streamline operations, and enhance the in-store customer experience.
“Real-time stock monitoring is essential to meet market demands. Plus, integrating Easy WMS with our Microsoft Dynamics Business Central ERP will enable seamless data synchronization and more efficient resource management,” says Enrique Hernández, CEO of DIELCA.
The El Sebadal warehouse supplies professional clients and features walk-in sales counters where customers can purchase components directly. With Easy WMS, the company expects to reduce order picking errors and improve product availability across its stores.
“Digitalization is key to staying competitive in a fast-paced industry like ours. This project will lay the groundwork for extending tech innovation to our other warehouses in the Canary Islands,” says Hernández.
The Las Palmas project is the first phase of a broader digitalization plan. DIELCA intends to deploy Easy WMS in its five other logistics centers located across the archipelago: Gran Canaria (Arinaga), Fuerteventura (Puerto del Rosario), Lanzarote (Arrecife), and Tenerife (Santa Cruz and Chafiras).
