International expansion
- The Mecalux group becomes a publicly traded company.
- We expand rapidly internationally with sales offices opened in France, UK, Portugal, Chile, Mexico, USA, Italy, Poland, Czech Republic and Germany.
- Our group is awarded the ISO 9001 Quality Control Certificate.
- A new 161,500 ft2 logistics warehouse opens in Barcelona, Spain.
- We launch our own logistics magazine Mecalux News.
- The first stage of a 323,000 ft2 factory in Tijuana, Mexico is developed.
- Our group is awarded the ISO 14001 Certificate of Environmental Management.
