Entry Level Applications Engineer

Job Description:

Working out of the Melrose Park, IL corporate office, the Entry Level Applications Engineer will perform structural analysis calculations to support order handling and projects within our Technical Department. This role may also design new products or modify existing products for customer applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis and design to meet customer specifications and a variety of codes.
  • Create bills of material for proposals and orders, especially larger, complex systems.
  • Prepare fabrication and installation drawings.
  • Interact with external consultants, customers, distributors, installation contractors, project and site managers, plant, and sales personnel.
  • Analyze and present to Executive Management R&D proposals along with competitive evaluation in close collaboration with the Engineering Department Headquarters in Spain.
  • Ensure that product designs meet all applicable industry codes and specification.
  • Develop and implement ideas of continuous improvement of engineering procedures, designs, and services.

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
  • Experience working with AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite
  • Solid understanding of structural engineering principles
  • Spanish language knowledge preferred.
