Electromechanical Field Technician

Job Description:

The Electromechanical Field Technician is key to the successful electromechanical installation of our automated storage systems equipment at our customers’ sites in the USA and Canada. Technicians act as the lead over other laborers to ensure accurate and timely system installation, test, commissioning, and repair of equipment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Complete assembly, mechanical installation, and electrical installation of automated storage systems and associated components
  • Test and adjust the mechanical and electrical as necessary
  • Lead the connectivity of the automation hardware to the software environment.
  • Resolve any electromechanical issues
  • Coordinate and manage small teams of workers at customers’ sites.
  • Create quality and status reports regarding the project or service call
  • Communicate any issues that arise on site to the Project Manager.
  • Lead the final quality assurance and safety tests on installed equipment and complete all required documentation
  • Train customers on system and routine maintenance operations
  • Provide scheduled preventive maintenance and on-demand corrective maintenance services to customers as needed

Minimum requirements:

  • 3 years of industrial or electromechanical installation, assembly, and maintenance experience
  • Ability to travel (USA and Canada), 100% of the time.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans (mechanical and/or electrical).
  • Basic knowledge related to automation controls
  • Responsible, results-oriented person who can be trusted to accomplish the established objectives of each project on time, safely, and with the highest degree of integrity
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to work variable hours including weekend, night, and/or holiday work
  • Ability and willingness to lift, lower and carry objects up to 50 lbs., work from heights, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record
  • Spanish language fluency is a plus
